Lucite Plains is a collaborative installation and performance project featuring Anderson and Ricky Allman. Begun as a one-off performance to coincide with an exhibition of Allman’s work in painting and installation, it has since developed into a more ambitious project combining elements of Allman’s spatial work integrated with Anderson’s video, all tied together through music composed for analog synthesizers and guitars, creating a psychedelic futurist experience. The concept came from a melding of themes they have been working on individually for the past few years including eco-futurism, geological ritualism, ancient mythology and retro utopian visions.

Lucite Plains was included in the inaugural Open Spaces biennial in Kansas City, with a weekend of seven performances in the man-made cave complex SubTropolis. It has also been realized at Living Arts in Tulsa, OK. Below is documentation from both venues, as well as from their shared studio space.
