Totemic Persona is a public video work created as a reaction to conservative rhetoric around the issue of immigration. It is a simultaneous portrait of a diverse community, with a direct, somewhat defiant gaze toward the viewer. It was first commissioned by the West Hollywood Art on the Outside program and shown on Sunset Blvd. March-April 2017 as a two channel work.

Shortly after, the work was adapted as a video and photo work shown on the Kansas City Streetcar line as part of the Art in the Loop public art program. Short video clips were shown on the streetcar kiosks and a large vinyl image was installed on a streetcar stop in downtown KC. This iteration of the work was shown May-October 2017.
