Stemming from a longstanding interest in portraiture, the Personaphase project evolves traditional notions of the individual portrait into a visual experience that pushes past just singular identities into composites of elusive, shifting temporal spaces. The recognizable faces become immersed in a continually shifting field of shapes, textures and colors so that the actual portraits are deeply embedded in this abstracted visual art experience. Individual faces weave in and out and family members shift and merge into one another.
