blog_CompStructuresThe group exhibition Composite Structures opened at La Esquina in Kansas City last night. There was a great crowd and amazing response to the three new video animations of mine included in the exhibition. The new pieces are all from the series Fragments of Space and are subtitled [CT3], [LB1], and [C4]. The sound for the new work was composed by Kansas City-based Gemini Revolution.

The exhibition is curated by Charlotte Street Curator-in-Residence Jamilee Polson Lacy and Lee Foley of Actual Size in Los Angeles. It features artists from Kansas City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Cincinnati, and Detroit, and is on view through March 2. There will be a workshop on February 23 titled “To Scale: Investigating Model Making” and panel discussion on February 26 titled “Making with Architecture.”
